    Preamble:

    As part of its alumni engagement and affinity program, American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites eligible alumni to submit an 'Expression of Interest' for an opportunity to be considered for one of two fully funded graduate-level tuition awards, each valued at approximately AED 200,000.

    Any engagement activity conducted during the Alumni Reunion, including the President’s 'Spin the Wheel' segment, is for alumni engagement purposes only and does not affect AUS’s authority over eligibility verification or final award confirmation.

    Registration Fee / No-Purchase Clarification

    No purchase, payment, or donation is required to submit an 'Expression of Interest' or to be eligible for selection, other than standard registration requirements applicable to attendance at the Alumni Reunion. Reunion registration does not increase an applicant’s chances of selection.

    Mandatory Eligibility Requirement

    • Attendance at the Alumni Reunion is compulsory.
    • Applicants must complete the 'Expression of Interest' form in advance and be present at the reunion to remain eligible for consideration.

  •  I acknowledge and understand that:

    • I must meet all minimum admission requirements of the intended AUS graduate program.
    • Admission is subject to the standard AUS graduate admissions process, including but not limited to:
      . Academic qualifications
      . Language proficiency requirements
      . Program-specific criteria
    • The award, if granted, is valid for one year only and must be utilized for admission in either:
      . Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 intake.

  • 1. Nature and Scope of the Award

    • Two (2) graduate-level tuition awards will be made available to eligible alumni.
    • The approximate value of each award is AED 200,000.
    • The scholarship covers tuition fees only (It does not cover application fees, housing, books, health insurance, visas, living expenses, or any other costs unless expressly stated otherwise by AUS.)


    2. Selection and Administration

    • The recipient will be selected through a process administered and overseen by American University of Sharjah.
    • Any selection activity conducted during the Alumni Reunion is for engagement purposes only and does not affect AUS’s authority over final eligibility verification or confirmation of the award.
    • Applications submitted by alumni who are currently employed by the university will not be considered, in order to avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest.


    3. Non-Transferability

    • The scholarship is awarded exclusively to the selected alumnus or alumna.
    • It is strictly non-transferable and may not be reassigned, substituted, or gifted to another individual under any circumstances.

    4. Admissions Compliance and Reallocation

    • The award is conditional upon meeting all AUS admissions requirements within the stated timeframe.
    • If the selected alumnus or alumna does not meet eligibility or admission requirements by Fall 2026 or Spring 2027, AUS may, at its sole discretion, reallocate the award to another eligible alumnus or alumna.
    • No extensions beyond the stated validity period will be granted.

    5. Attendance Requirement

    Attendance for the Alumni Reunion is a mandatory eligibility condition and failure to attend may result in forfeiture of the award.

    6. Disqualification Rights

    American University of Sharjah reserves the right to disqualify any applicant at any stage if information provided is found to be false, misleading, incomplete, or inaccurate.

    7. University Authority

    • AUS reserves the right to:
      . Verify eligibility at any stage
      . Interpret and apply these terms and conditions
      . Reassign or withdraw the award if eligibility requirements are not met

    • All decisions by the university are final and binding.


    8. Data Protection and Privacy

    Personal data collected through this Expression of Interest will be processed in accordance with AUS policies and applicable UAE data protection laws and will be used solely for the purpose of administering this initiative.

    9. Governing Law

    This Expression of Interest and any matters arising from it shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
